Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Grokbot Icon (grokbot-icon.com) collects when you use the Grok Bot icon maker, and what happens to it.

Your photos

• Before upload, your browser shrinks the photo and re-encodes it, which removes embedded metadata such as GPS location.
• The photo is sent to our server and passed on to an AI image generation service (OpenAI or Microsoft Azure OpenAI) that draws the icon. Those services process it under their own data policies.
• We do not store your photo or the generated icon. The icon is returned to your browser, so download it before leaving the page.

Your account

Signing in with Google gives us your name, email address and profile picture. We use them to identify your account and keep track of your credits. A session cookie keeps you signed in.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe directly and never reach our servers. We keep a record of each purchase: the pack, the amount, its status and the Stripe reference.

IP addresses and fraud prevention

We record the IP address used for sign-ins, generations and purchases, and the browser type used for sign-ins and generations. We use them only to prevent fraud and abuse — for example, card testing, chargeback abuse or many accounts run from one address — and may block addresses or accounts involved in it.

Usage records

For each generation we keep the time, whether it succeeded, how long it took, the credits it used and the size and type of the uploaded file, but not the image itself. We use these records for billing and to fix problems. Copies of the icons you make are kept only in your own browser, so you can download them again later; we keep none, and clearing your browser data deletes them. We may also count page views with privacy-friendly analytics that do not use cookies.

Sharing

We do not sell your data. Apart from the image generation service and Stripe described above, we do not share it.
